Auto Racing! One of America's great national past-times. The thrill of the race, the girls, the hot dogs, the beer, the girls, the sounds, and did I mention the girls? America has been going to the races since the automobile was invented over 100-years ago. Cars whizzing around the track, motors roaring, dirt flying, people cheering, the Porta Pots! But it's not always fun and games. As is the case in any sport with an element of danger, there are accidents, and sadly, sometimes there is tragedy. Cars are wrecked, drivers are injured and even killed. Some people go to the races just to see the accidents. But most are racing fans.

This blog is dedicated to the race car drivers who lost the race because speed is a dangerous objective. And to the pit crews who, it should be said, after all, keep the races going.
